It’s been a great couple of weeks for Team Delirium! The book has been optioned for TV by Fox and Emma Roberts is attached to star in the pilot as Lena! The final book in the NYT-best selling trilogy written by PLL co-founder Lauren Oliver, Requiem, hits stores on March 5th but one of our favorite local indie bookstores, Books of Wonder, has the hook up for any reader who pre-orders from them:

-Signed copy (personalized if requested) of Requiem! (Delirium and Pandemonium are available too!)
-A chance to win a phone call/Skype session with Lauren Oliver! If local in New York, Lauren will pay a visit to your class! ONE random entrant will be selected.
-A chance to have your finished manuscript critiqued by literary agent Stephen Barbara (who represents Lauren Oliver among other bestsellers and award winners). ONE random entrant will be selected. (To be applicable for the critique, leave a comment below to inform us that you pre-ordered Requiem from Books of Wonder and have a finished manuscript. If you win, we’ll confirm with Books of Wonder that they received your order.)

Signed copies of Requiem are expected to be shipped the week of publication and can be shipped internationally! And winners for the critique manuscript by Stephen Barbara and phone session with Lauren Oliver will be announced on March 5th!

Lauren Oliver posted the international dates for the release of Requiem on her blog! Some don’t have specific dates quite yet, but at least there is a general time line.

The dates are as follows:

Britain: March 14, 2013
France: Spring 2013
Spain & Catalan: Spring 2013
Denmark: October 2013
Finland: Fall 2013
Germany: Fall 2013
Holland: Fall 2013
Poland: Fall 2013

The 13 Heroines Who’ll Make 2013 Kick Ass

VH1 Celebrity recently featured an article of 13 kickass heroines from best selling books who will feature on screens big and small in 2013.

Lauren’s very own Lena features on such list along side Katniss from Hunger Games and Melanie from The Host!

If you take stories like The Hunger Games, The Host and Warm Bodies to heart, you might think we don’t have much to look forward to in the distant post-apocalyptic future. But in the more immediate days ahead, like say, the rest of 2013, there’s a whole lot to be excited for — especially if you like ladies who kick ass, stand up for what they believe in and protect their loved ones at all costs. It’s going to be a great year for heroines in movies, on TV and in books — but not necessarily the easy-to-love/worship kind…

In March, we’ll see the release of Requiem, the conclusion of Lauren Oliver’s Delirium trilogy following Lena, who lives in a society that has decided to surgically eradicate the disease of love (and compassion, and empathy, and all those other good things). And now we’ve learned that Lena could get a new life on the small screen, as Fox has ordered a pilot based on the books.

WIN LAUREN OLIVER’S REQUIEM!

Yes, it’s an ARC of the much-anticipated conclusion to the DELIRIUM trilogy. It won’t be in bookstores until March, but you could have your copy next week if you win. How do you enter?

1) Ask me a question either here at the blog or via Twitter about writing, about SPELLCASTER, anything authorial. (If you don’t already follow me on Twitter, you can now do so via my home page at http://www.claudiagray.com.) I want to put more of this info out there, but I want to answer the questions you guys are really interested in!

2) Do this before Tuesday, January 22, when I will pick a winner. The winner is the only person who gets the ARC of DELIRIUM; I hope to answer nearly all of your questions.

3) Yes, you can be from anywhere (I will ship internationally), but if you enter via the blog, be sure to include an email address where I can reach you if you win.
